Dr. Craig Puchalsky
Dr. Craig Puchalsky attended Hofstra University and the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dentistry, graduating both at the top of his class with distinguished honors. During his dental education, he did extensive research in periodontal (gum) disease treatments, and received many distinctions and publications. After dental school, he attended a post-graduate residency at the prestigious Roswell Park Memorial Hospital in Buffalo.
On January 2, 1991, Dr. Puchalsky opened his private dental practice in Smithville, New Jersey. Seven years later, he moved his practice across the parking lot to a new State of the Art facility, where it now resides.
The office emphasis has always been patient based, towards achieving dental excellence, in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Dr. Puchalsky has been recognized for his numerous continuing education achievements in Orthodontics, Implants, Cosmetic Dentistry, Botox, Dermafills, TMJ Treatment, and Pain Management, just to name a few.
Our team’s emphasis is on full dental and cosmetic treatment customized to the patient’s needs and desires. He has been given masters level in the Academy of General Dentistry and Fellow in the International Association of Orthodontics. This distinction has been awarded to less than 1% of Dentists. He is also a member of the American Dental Association; and Oral and Maxillofacial Pain Association.
Outside of his dental career, Dr. Puchalsky enjoys quiet times with family, friends, and pets, numerous sporting activities, and involvement in local community activities and charities.

Alyssa
CDA/RDA
Alyssa joined the team in July 2017. She graduated from Ocean County Vocational School in dental assisting in 2007. You can tell Alyssa enjoys her job and helping her patients by her attentiveness and concern for others. When Alyssa’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her family. She is married with two little boys. She also enjoys working out, bowling, and camping.
Heidi
CDA/RDA
Heidi joined the practice shortly after graduating from Cape May Tech’s Post-Secondary dental assisting program in 2018. She is a proud Coast Guard spouse and mother of two young boys. Dentistry is her passion because she loves educating and caring for people in the community. She is a self-proclaimed “nerd for teeth.” Heidi specializes in helping those who are nervous about dental care understand the procedures they are having done and feel more settled in the chair. When Heidi isn’t working, she enjoys boating, fishing, camping, and cooking. She is an avid Eagles fan and enjoys watching Phillies baseball too.
Kristen
RDH WITH LOCAL ANESTHESIA PERMIT
Kristen’s been a dental hygienist since 2007. She loves working in the dental field because there is constantly new information and technologies to learn and grow from. As a child, Kristen was very fearful of dental appointments and wanted to learn more about what was really going on to ease her own fears. She takes pride in getting to help her patients feel more comfortable by educating them on their own dental needs. Kristen is married with twin boys, one girl, and two dogs (Monty and Lilly). She enjoys spending her free time doing outdoor activities such as camping, kayaking, and woodworking.
Jen
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
Jen has been a practicing Dental Hygienist since 2000 and worked for Dr. Puchalsky from 2005-2008, rejoining the office in April 2022. Dental hygiene is the perfect career for Jen because of her attention to detail and her affinity of health and wellness. While not working, Jen enjoys warm weather, working out, traveling, and spending time with her husband, twin teenage boys, and American Bulldog, Trudy.
Heather
Administrative Assistant
Heather has been in the dental field for over 15 years, with her knowledge of dental terminology and
insurance she can help you understand your treatment and maximize your benefits. She is warm and
friendly and wants to keep you smiling. When Heather is not working in the office, she enjoys spending
time with her two boys at the beach, fishing, walking, and bike riding on the Ventnor boardwalk.
LaMia
REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST
(RDH) w/local anesthesia permit
After many years in the food and beverage industry, LaMia transitioned to a more fulfilling career as a dental hygienist. Once completing a successful dental hygiene program at Camden County College, she furthered her education at Stockton University receiving her bachelor’s in health science.
Outside of work, LaMia spends quality time with her son, Jacob, and chasing after her two big dogs, Ava and Miles. In her free time, she uses her amateur landscaping skills working in the yard. You can find her on the grill in the warmer months and hosting gatherings at her home.
